How does TutorHub booking actually work?

TutorHub is a Hong Kong tutoring platform — there is no shop counter. You tell us the district, estate, year level and subject; within 24–48 hours we reply with suitable tutor profiles covering background, rate and available slots. The first lesson is booked only after you confirm, and can start with a short assessment.
The service map follows Hong Kong's 18 districts. District, neighbourhood and major estate pages each carry notes on student population, transport and estate access, so tutors do not waste trips and parents can brief the location and need in one go.
When choosing a tutor, cross-check the Education Bureau's public material on curricula and school systems. Students sitting the HKDSE should work from the assessment frameworks and past papers published by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. Before booking, the Consumer Council's education materials are useful for understanding fees, cancellation and make-up policies.
When you enquire, share the district and estate, year level and school type (local/DSS/international), the subject and current standard, weekly availability, and whether you want home or online lessons. Clearer details produce closer tutor matches and rate ranges, with fewer follow-up rounds.
Allow 10–15 minutes of the first lesson for a short assessment. A good tutor uses a few representative questions to find the real sticking point rather than reading last term's marks alone. You then get staged goals and a materials plan before committing.
Hong Kong is divided into 18 districts, with each district's District Officer (DO) representing the Government at the district level.
