For English readers: how to find a tutor in Hong Kong

TutorHub (補習島) is a Hong Kong tutoring platform for parents. Bookable areas cover maths, English, Chinese, Putonghua, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, geography, history, BAFS and ICT, plus HKDSE, IB, IGCSE, A-Level, IELTS, Cambridge English and phonics programmes. Levels run from kindergarten through primary and secondary to tertiary study. Lessons are delivered as home one-to-one, online one-to-one or small groups of two to four. A request names the district, estate, year level and subject; TutorHub replies within 24–48 hours with tutor profiles covering background, rate and available slots. The first lesson is booked only after the parent confirms, and may begin with a short assessment. After the first lesson, families can continue or request a different tutor. The service map follows the 18 districts published by the Home Affairs Department, spanning Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, with district, neighbourhood and estate pages noting student population, transport links, estate visitor registration and suggested lesson slots. Curriculum and school-system reference material comes from the Education Bureau; HKDSE assessment frameworks and past papers come from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority.
